eRa 1; the project begin

The nature of this music is spellbinding and its timeless quality that defies its classical roots - the score could have been recorded 3 centuries ago.. or in three centuries' time.

The melodies draw obsessively from a unique score, composed through the romantic visions of artistically mature composer.

The voices of eRa resound with imposing style, irresistible reminiscent of "Carmina Burana". Akin to the atmosphere created by the finest string ensemble, the choir breathe words and fractured phrases using a imaginary language reminiscent of latin.

In order to retain the special atmosphere of the work, Eric Levi recorded the album at real world studios, Peter Gabriel's peaceful and discreet retreat. Here he employed the skills of Phil Collins' rhythm section (bassist Lee Sklar and drummer Chester Tompson). The effects of this alchemy are immediate, lend your ears to eRa and you will be convinced.

 

1992 represent a significant change in Eric Levi's life: he returns to Paris and decides to work in solitary. it composes soundtracks of movies of success, as the visitors, then number one of the box office. It is in that moment when the project was it charges life in Eric Levi's mind. eRa transforms in fact between 1995 and 1997. The success is immediate to world scale: 5 million sold albums.

Interesting it was the first single, giving beginning with everything, giving turn immediately to the world and being one of the songs but listened in spite of their lyrics written in Latin, that the toward special, was their sound and the way in that some DJ's mixed becoming likewise, in a success in the discos.

The listener in turn is gently soothed then has his world turned upside down, he bathes in a universe when the only rule is harmony regained.

eRa lets each and everyone invent their owns myths and imaginary journeys in a world of legends waiting to be reinvented.

"Ameno" the first track taken from the album is inspired bye the legend of "Montsegur Castle", a fortress haunted by it's history and the mysterious charms of the cathar country which also serve as a back-drop for the tracks video

Here we discover a recurring theme close to the composer's heart: "The mystery, the inner strength that we poses to go to the end of our dreams" . we can see a knight, vagabond children led by a mysterious young girl as in an Arthurian legend.

eRa is a succession of evocations from a universe in search of spiritually, the imaginary soundtrack for a film of the next century, sound proof of a legend that is already eternal.
